Bill Joy Athletic Trainer Fund
Bill Joy retired as ENMU’s head athletic trainer in 1991 after serving in that capacity for 25 years. He also was an assistant professor of health and physical education at ENMU. Joy joined the ENMU athletic staff in the fall semester after his 1966 graduation from Humboldt State, and received a master’s degree from Eastern in 1970. He was nationally certified by the National Athletic Trainers Association in 1973, and appointed to the New Mexico Athletic Trainers Advisory Board by former Governor Toney Anaya for a six-year term.
